![]() These browsers are detected by DVSA and blocked. You also have special browsers that can be automated so these can be used as bots as well. The DVSA do block any inbound connections that aren’t being made through a browser. This cuts out massive amounts of time as a browser takes considerably longer to load and convert that data to human readable content. A bot doesn’t need that so can just request the data through a console and go from there. Your browser will request the page from DVSA and load all of its HTML content and JavaScript so that it’s readable by humans and can be navigated easily by humans. The most obvious ways bots are used has already been blocked, for example navigating the pages through a console and not a browser. Bots can navigate a page REALLY quickly, and so that’s why you’re seeing dates available in 1 second and then gone in the next. ![]() The apps you mentioned use bots to scrape the DVSA pages and reserve test dates to sell. Unfortunately it’s not an easy fix for them, and they are currently trying their best to defend against bots. This whole system is so messed up and dvsa needs to do something about it :/ Oh and the cancellation app that I payed for is radio silent too, as usual. I've already spent so much money on lessons, then covid got in the way, had to retake my theory cause it expired, then had to retake lessons to refresh memory and now I'm expected to give away t w o h u n d r e d british pounds for 45 minutes of my life? But as I've found out today even if I find multiple early dates they make it impossible to book it. How can all those times disappear in a few seconds? It's all those reseller scums and I'm sick of it!! Why won't dvsa do something about them? Can't they do something? I refuse to pay nearly £200 for an early date. I went back and tried to book again but it wouldn't let me. but when I tried to book it, the calendar went that all too familiar white colour and wouldn't let me move forward T.T It had already been booked. I went back to see about 6 or 7 different times for mid may (same day). First few refreshes there was nothing but then I refreshed again and boom I could move the calendar back. I already have a test I found after so long of searching but it's all the way in August. Just 10 minutes ago I randomly went on the dvsa site to see if I could find cancellations.
